Embrace the Dirty Duster

Each week, we’ll offer a cool prize on Friday to the highest fundraiser of the week. The winner is the person to raise the highest amount from that Monday 12am EST to Friday 5pm EST. Last week, Andrew Coskey took home some sweet custom Oakleys for raising an amazing $1100.

In addition to fundraising, remember to document the hair on your face and post pics on the posterous page. This makes us laugh here at headquarters, which makes us feel like giving away more cool stuff.

Steele Stanwick of UVa Men’s Lacrosse is one of hundreds of talented collegiate lacrosse players who, just one short week ago, used to have a respectable clean shave. Then something strange happened… Steele was struck by the ‘Stache Madness phenomenon that has been hitting young lacrosse players like him nationwide, and now there is nothing we can do for him but sit back and watch it grow.

His future seemed so bright. Now, it just seems, well, doomed to catch the tangled trinkets of lunch and crusted midnight jugs of milk on his upper lip. I know. Dirty dusters are disgusting and strangely cool.

We’ve conducted one study that may show there is but one cure for Steele and our other beloved lacrosse players: money. That’s right. Hard cold cash for an incredible cause. These men are raising money for a cause near and dear to their heart: prostate cancer research, a disease that currently affects 1 in 6 American men. A man dies every 19 minutes from this disease, and these boys are looking out for their futures and their families.

To support the end to this madness, and to support your favorite lacrosse team and player, please click on the DONATE button to the left.

Otherwise, we’ll have to witness the discomfort of facial hair far longer than anyone should have to reasonably suffer.

                  1. Steele Stanwick is a fake, is that stache drawn in?
